The United Nations has designated every 31st of October as World Cities Day. The aim is to promote the international community’s interest in urban development, push forward cooperation, and promote action to meet opportunities and address challenges of urbanization in the framework of the New Urban Agenda and the Sustainable Development Goals.
Sant Pau supports this World Day by collaborating with the two UN-Habitat offices housed in the Art Nouveau Site to organize an ambitious program of activities targeting different audiences throughout the week, culminating in the World Cities Day party on Sunday, the 5th of November.
The Knowledge Centre institutions are also participating in this event by means of a shared reflection on the relevance of their work in cities and opportunities to increase their impact in the future.
